Easy Chocolate-Based Cookies Recipe, No Eggs

Cookies are the best combination with Tea and Coffee.

Most of you will agree with me that tea time or coffee time, in the morning or evening, is the best time to enjoy with the family.

The excitement is heightened, when accompanied by fresh homemade cookies, straight from the oven.

Now, who doesn't love chocolate? I believe, everyone, young or old, people of all age groups, loves anything made with chocolate as an ingredient, or part of it, or all of it.

My family is no different. The cookies are crunchy, sweet little desserts, and have the advantage of portion control.

Many people like pastries, but they don't like eggs. Undoubtedly, including eggs to the cake, provides a nice glaze. However, here I will provide two cookies made from chocolate, without eggs, which are both delicious

Chocolate Based Cookies

Cooking time

  • Preparation time: 45 Min
  • Cooking Time: 30 Minutes
  • Ready in: 1 hour 15 minutes
  • Result : For 5 people

Ingredients: For Chocolate Chip Cake

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups softened butter or refined oil
  • 1 cup caster sugar, powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips


  1. Mix and sift all dry ingredients together.
  2. Add softened butter or refined oil.
  3. Mix well, all ingredients together to make a strong dough. I usually mix my cake batter by hand.
  4. Keep the dough in the refrigerator for half an hour. Meanwhile, preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees F)
  5. Arrange the cookies in the shape you want, on a baking tray, in the oven. Keep a distance, at least 2 inches, when baking cookies.
  6. You can check between baking processes, through the oven's glass window. When it turns gold, it's done.
  7. Remove and cool on a wire tray. Serve hot with tea or coffee.

Homemade chocolate chunks cookies

Variation: Chocolate based cookies

  • Using the same materials, as mentioned above,

2 teaspoons cocoa powder,

1 cup chopped chocolate,

brown sugar, not caster sugar.

Follow the same procedure as mentioned above.

  • Using the same ingredients as mentioned above

Add some copped nuts, such as cashews, hazelnuts, walnuts instead of chocolate chips or chunks.

Follow the rest of the procedure, as in the recipe mentioned above.

Tea time or coffee time is family time, to relax, to enjoy, to rejuvenate. And homemade cookies are the best combination to go with it.

Some Tips For Making The Perfect Chocolate Cake

  • You can use all-purpose flour, or whole wheat flour, or self-raising flour, or any other gluten-free flour. But, sifting your flour is an important step, which you should not miss. Sifting all dry ingredients together is done to incorporate air in the dough. This is especially important, if you are making eggless bread.
  • Always use softened butter, to dissolve the sugar faster, and beat it in a better way.
  • When making chocolate-based cakes, use brown sugar, to give the cake a nice color, or caramel texture. If you don't have brown sugar, you can use plain sugar, or a combination of the two.
  • Chocolate chips are easy to find in supermarkets. However, if you can't find it, you can use pieces of chocolate, from any chocolate bar.
  • If you don't want too much chocolate, just use nuts in your cake.
  • If you want your cake to be perfect, as you often see at the pastry shop, it's important to keep the dough in the refrigerator, for 30 minutes, before baking it.
  • Preheating the oven is important. Set the temperature according to your own oven. Baking time is important to note, but equally important is checking the appearance of the cake. Color says it all.
  • It is important to pay attention to the process. That's the difference between a delicious cake and a heavenly cake. Later it will force you to close your eyes and enjoy the sweetness, aroma, taste, and the whole feeling of having a cake will remain in your memory.
